Launch Week Day 3: Importer

Discuss on

Today we’re sharing a new way to import transactions that’s making it easier for:

  1. Accountants processing multiple years of catch up bookkeeping
  2. Business owners using local banks or credit unions that don’t offer integrations
  3. Users importing historical data from accounts that sync a limited range of data
  4. Anyone importing data for closed accounts, where typically only PDF statements are available

In the past, you or your Accountant would have to manually convert PDFs or reformat CSVs, just to get your transactions into your accounting software.

With Kick’s new Importer you can upload and automatically transform these documents into transactions in minutes.

How it works:

  1. Go to the Accounts tab → click Add account → Import transactions
  2. Drag and drop to upload your CSVs or PDFs for any number of accounts or entities
  3. Kick automatically extracts account information, balances, and transactions
  4. Review and edit extracted data in a familiar spreadsheet-style view, then click Import

When you upload additional files, Kick will automatically detect which accounts they belong to — making it simple to stay up to date.

Importer is available on all paid plans. Excited to hear your feedback.
